Stage 2: Of Gibson's 8015 votes, 4271 transferred to Hussey and 2096 to Patterson, thus 6367 (79.44%) to the UUP candidates; 154 (1.92%) to McGowan (Ind Comm); 64 (0.80%) to McLaughlin (Socialist); 51 (0.64%) to Johnstone (NLP); 46 (0.57%) to Gormley (Alliance); 18 to Byrne, 9 to McDonnell and 6 to McMenamin, thus 33 (0.41%) to the SDLP candidates; 23 (0.29%) to Owens (WP); 9 (0.11%) to O'Kane (CECC); 4 to McElduff and none to Devine, thus 4 (0.05%) to the SF candidates with 1264 (15.77%) non-transferable.

Stage 3: Of Doherty's 7027 votes, 5210 transferred to McElduff and 1194 to Devine, thus 6404 (91.13%) to the other SF candidates; 222 went to Byrne, 74 to McMenamin and 61 to McDonnell, thus 357 (5.08%) to the SDLP candidates; 58 (0.83%) to McGowan (Ind Comm); 49 (0.70%) to McLaughlin (Socialist); 33 (0.47%) to Gormley (Alliance); 20 (0.28%) to O'Kane (CECC); 6 to Hussey and none to Patterson, thus 6 (0.09%) to the UUP candidates; also 6 (0.09%) to Owens (WP); and 5 (0.07%) to Johnstone (NLP) with 89 (1.27%) non-transferable.
