This constituency included most of the old Fermanagh and South Tyrone constituency.
Most
of
the old Fermanagh and South Tyrone constituency survived as the
new Fermanagh and South Tyrone after
1995, with some
territory lost to Mid Ulster. The Member
of
Parliament throughout this period was Ken Maginnis (UUP), who
defeated
the sitting Republican MP in 1983.
