Training
- ARK
works in partnership with specialist providers to provide a
wide range of introductory and more advanced research and analysis
training courses.
- In
2005, ARK and the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action
(NICVA) – Northern Ireland’s umbrella body
for voluntary sector organsitions – teamed up to set
up an annual research methods training course for the Third Sector.
This course provides an introduction to basic research methods
skills and runs over five half-day sessions. The training is
offered free of charge to staff in voluntary and third-sector
organisations. Training sessions have been provided annually
since 2006, covering introductions to all key aspects of undertaking
a research project. The overreaching topics of the five half
days are:
