ARK Research Centre

Each year, the ARK Research Centre carries out a set amount of work for voluntary and community sector organisations that is free of charge. This facilitates access to the most up-to-date social and political information by organisations which are not in a position to pay for such work.

There are two aims to this work. Firstly, to help voluntary and community organisations develop the capacity to undertake new research relevant to their own organisation. Secondly, to provide organisations with the skills or resources to explore statistics derived from other surveys and polls that would be useful to their own organisation.

This free service is undertaken in association with the The Science Shop based at Queen's University, who will refer community and voluntary organisations who may benefit from this service to the ARK team. This project has been made possible with funding from the Economic and Social Research Council, and previously with funding from Queen's in the Community and the Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister.

ARK also runs a free research methods training programme for voluntary sector organisations, in association with NICVA. For more information, click here.
