Carrickfergus Borough Council Elections 1993-2011

Very much a case of 'as you were' in Carrickfergus in 2011. Party representation on the council is identical to 2005 with no seats changing hands. The Alliance vote share improved moderately and they were unfortunate to not gain an additional seat in Knockagh. Despite a significantly inferior first preference vote, the UUP managed to claim four seats to the Alliance's three. Carrickfergus had the lowest turnout of the election at 46.2%.
