A poor election showing for the SDLP in Fermanagh, picking up just over 12% of the vote (though better than they managed in the simultaneous Assembly election). They managed to lose two seats; one to the UUP in Eniskillen and another to Sinn Fein in Erne East. Standing as an Independent, former Sinn Fein councillor Bernice Swift was successful in depriving her erstwhile colleagues of a seat in Erne West. The DUP also saw their vote slump by three percent but still managed to retain all four of their seats. Fermanagh had the highest turnout of the election at 70.2% and Erne East was the electoral area with the highest turnout across Northern Ireland at 76.2%.
