Year: 2015
Module: Social_Care_for_Older_People
Variable: PAYSC3

Supposing an older person needs so much help with daily living that they need to move into a care home. There are different ways that this care home could be paid for. How fair are each of these?
Nobody has to sell their home to pay for care but if you have savings you will have to use that money to pay part of the costs until you have spent a maximum of £72,000 of your own money and then the government will step in and pay for the rest.
