Paula is Co-Director of ARK.  She is also the coordinator of the Northern Ireland Life and Times Survey, which is an annual survey recording public attitudes to key social policy issues.  Paula has extensive experience in the quantitative analysis of large-scale datasets.  Her research interests focus on quantitative research methods; measuring social attitudes; dissemination of social research; men’’s health; masculinity and gender.

Along with Gemma Carney, Paula was co-founder of British Social of Gerontology branch in Northern Ireland.  Paula is first supervisor for Sarah Lawrence’s PhD thesis.
